Hello everyone, and welcome to another review. Today I am reviewing the Keter Solana 70 Gallon Storage Bench Deck. as you can see, there are some minor scuffs on it already as the squirrels love climbing all over it.
I suppose this holds 70 pounds worth of stuff as I have various things in there, some pots and a hose, some cords, that type of stuff, and ample space. So it’s a decent bench. I really like it, and if it lasts as long as the other one, which was six years, I think it’s going to be well worth it, so let’s go ahead and jump right into the pros and cons.
So for the pros, the cost. Considering how much this costs and if it lasts for six years, that alone it’s worth it to me. It’s got decent storage space in there, and it’s weather-resistant. As I said, it will fade over time depending on how much sun it gets but considering it’s always outside, that will happen. There’s virtually no maintenance; you can rinse it off with a hose. I’ve never got water inside it, and it’s easy to clean and very lightweight. So if you need to move it, as long as you don’t have a bunch of stuff inside it, it’s effortless to move.
Now for the cons, I did have some missing parts. So, the two clips that hold the railings onto the back end were missing. The manual contains only photos, so you need to look at the manual carefully. It’s very easy to attach the wrong thing to the bad part, and assembly took me a good 30 minutes to assemble. I didn’t have any problems with it, but I’m going to put it on con because the assembly goes hand in hand with the manual, of course, and as I said, it only has photos. It really doesn’t tell you very much. I wish it had a little more instruction on what pieces go where. If you read online, especially in amazon reviews, some people complained about the clips that clipped onto the other parts. They said they had trouble connecting them. I didn’t have that issue. I had a problem with the bottom panel inside the storage cabinet. I couldn’t get it to slide into the tracks. it just wouldn’t do it, so I had to bend, or I had to pull apart one end and just, you know, snap the end onto the panel.
So the final verdict for this Keter Solana 70 Gallon Storage Bench. I’m going to give this
a four-star, at least for now. I just got the Keter Solana 70 Gallon Storage Bench, so time will tell if this will last as long as I had the original bench. If it does, it’s a five-star all the way. I mean, you can’t beat it.
I forgot to mention this. I believe the max weight is 700 pounds on this seat, so I’m six foot one, and I weigh about 260 pounds, and I have no issues sitting on it, so it supported my weight just fine. My wife and I both sat on it, and it didn’t bend or anything. It didn’t break, so that is good, and as I said before, the storage inside holds about 70 pounds.
